GPV Statistics Package
This package provides data relevant to a range of quality, population health and integration initiatives implemented by Victorian Divisions of General Practice. Where possible it incorporates data provided by the Department of Health and Ageing as part of the National Quality and Performance System.
The package draws on data such as results from the Annual Survey of Divisions, Medicare Benefits Schedule claims, Practice Incentive Program payments, statistics from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register, and registration with general practice accrediting organisations. Tables include data for each Victorian division. Some examples of the data tables provided are:
- Proportion of accredited practices
- Proportion of PIP registered practices
- Uptake of diabetes, asthma and cervical screening PIPs and SIPs
- Uptake of practice nurse PIP
- Immunisation coverage rates
- Uptake of MBS chronic disease management care plans (GPMPs and TCAs)
- Uptake of MBS medication management reviews
- Uptake of MBS mental health plans
