
Information Management & e-Health
Overview
The GPV IM team provides support, leadership and co-ordination of e-Health activities to Victorian divisions of general practice. GPV provides support in the following areas:
- information management
- connectivity and security
- e-Health awareness and information
- e-Health literacy
Key Objectives
The objectives of the IM and ICT program are to:
- support divisions to implement the Information Management Maturity Framework (IMMF) for divisions of general practice
- assist divisions to develop their capacity to report against the National Quality and Performance System (NQPS) national performance indicators (NPIs)
- improve communication and information sharing between divisions, SBOs and AGPN on information management and e-Health initiatives and best practice
- contribute to developing a state-wide perspective on information management to improve sharing of information between divisions, relevant agencies and health service providers
- contribute to the education of divisions on techniques for improving data quality
- support the development of network policy by providing high level, strategic advice on key information management issues impacting on divisions and general practice.
