Community of Interest

 

GPV works with its members, with funding bodies and with other health care organisations to achieve its mission.

Working relationships with some organisations are underpinned by memoranda of understanding. (MoU)

 

 

MoU with RWAV

 

GPV and Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) have a Memorandum of Understanding which identifies areas of collaborative work.

MoU with The Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital

 

GPV and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2003 which identifies some areas the two organisations will act together and cooperatively, for an initial period of five years, with the common purpose of improving the eye and ENT health and health care of the Victorian population.

Aboriginal Health - MoU with VACCHO

 

GPV and Victorian Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation (VACCHO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. (Also included are protocols for divisions to use when working with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services).

Primary and Community Health Network

 

The vision of the Primary and Community Network is to take a leading role in developing and promoting the primary and community health sector through arange of activities.

 

The members of this network include:

  • Victorian Community Health Association
  • The Victorian Healthcare Association Ltd (Community Health Victoria)
  • General Practice Victoria
  • Australian Institute for Primary Care
  • Royal District Nursing Service
  • Municipal Association of Victoria
  • Women�s Health Association of Victoria
  • Other members as determined by the Network

Victorian General Practice Prevention Alliance

 

The Alliance is comprised of non-government organisations committed to support general practice in the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of chronic disease.

  

The members of the Victorian General Practice Prevention Alliance are:

  • The Cancer Council Victoria
  • Diabetes Australia � Vic
  • General Practice Victoria
  • Heart Foundation (Victoria)
  • National Stroke Foundation.
