Current Call for Nominations GPDV's own members are divisions, not GPs. This means that GPDV relies upon Victorian divisions to put forward suitable GPs to act as representatives, whenever we accept an invitation to place a GP upon a committee. When we accept such an invitation we send out to divisions a Call for Nominations. This informs them of the mission of the committee, the commitment required from the representative, and invites them to forward nominations of any interested and suitable GPs. GPDV board then considers the nominations (including the experience of the GPs) and votes to select the representative. Sometimes ADGP asks GPDV and other state based organisations to forward nominations for a national committee position. GPDV then uses the process outlined above to seek nominations from divisions. Those candidate's that are nominated are forwarded to ADGP with a letter of support, as the Victorian Nominations for that national position. In these cases, ADGP makes the final selection of the representative.
