Primary Mental Health Care Initiative - Overview

In March 1999, the Commonwealth Minister for Health, Dr Michael Wooldridge, approved $3 million for a National Mental Health Strategy initiative to provide General Practitioners with education in primary mental health care and to better link GPs with specialist mental health services - public, private and non-government.
