Since the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing's 2001-02 budget commitment to support Nursing in General Practice, broader issues surrounding practice nursing have been considered and in particular training and professional development. GPDV has been supporting divisions to increase their capacity to provide support and information for practice nurses.
