Update on the Implementation of the Divisions Review

Bill Newton, member of the RIC, will give CEOs an update on the work of the RIC and the various working parties. Other committee members will be asked to contribute. General discussion of the issues arising for divisions in implementing the planning framework.

Early Intervention in Chronic & Complex Disease Management Projects

Area Mental Health Services discharge planning protocol

Anne Diamond, Primary Mental Health Consultant, will discuss the development of this protocol between AMHSs and divisions. We would like to find out which divisions have been consulted and how the process is going.

Focus on the work of divisions to enhance practice capacity

1. Smart Practice presentation by Kristin Michaels, Manager - GP Services, & Yvonne Wrigglesworth, GP Services Officer, of the Eastern Ranges Division.

SMART Practice is a unique practice support program, which is assisting GP members and their practices to "take their futures into their own hands".  With guidance from the Division, these practices are implementing strategies, plans and new operational processes to improve the "health" of their practices. 

2. Update from Colin Frick, Senior Program Manager of the Collaboratives.

Colin will speak on the outcomes of the project thus far, the implications and learnings for divisions, particularly in assisting practices to achieve changes in practice, and future directions for the Collaboratives.

Income Generation for Divisions, first half of a workshop by John Mero

John's workshop will cover 19 different strategies for enhancing the capacity of divisions to deliver services and programs. He includes work on the effectiveness of current approaches, strategies for more effective planning and analysis and ways to generate income. This workshop is being presented in two halves, with the second part being presented at the December CEO network meeting.
