Session 1
Identifying the current context and issues arising for divisions in providing quality education and training in general practice. Brief presentations will help set the context. Participants will be asked to build up an environmental scan as part of developing a plan for addressing the support and development issues. A panel including Mary-anne D'Aquila, Relationships Coordinator, RACGP, Anne Diamond, GPDV, Simonette Cunningham, Central Highlands Division, Nancy Atkin, Northern Division and Helen Threlfall, GPDV will start the general discussion.

Session 2
Identifying current professional development needs and possible sources of training, support etc. Small group work to develop an understanding of the barriers and solutions to effective division support of quality education.
To include feedback from Mary-Anne D'Aquila of the RACGP on the needs assessment she has recently conducted with division staff supporting CPD.

Session 3
Plan for the development of effective education and training by divisions, and the support the network requires over the next two years (06-07 and 07-08). Identifying who has a role, and next steps in achieving effective support.
Consultation/Update: Lymphoedema Project. Hari Kakouris, GPDV, will update CPD Coordinators re the Lymphoedema Project in GP education and seek input/ideas.
